“In this campaign we go back in time and see the impact of several iconic front pages throughout the years”
DPG Media asked Bruut Amsterdam to set up an integrated production for the celebration of the 75th anniversary of the Algemeen Dagblad. DPG Media is the largest publisher of the Netherlands – and represents AD, among others. Bruut Amsterdam took care of both the concept development and the full production.
Algemeen Dagblad has been playing an important role in the lives of many Dutch people for the past 75 years. In this campaign we go back in time and see the impact of several iconic front pages throughout the years: The devastating floods of 1953, the first man on the moon, and the Dutch 1988 World Cup win. At the end of the commercial we are back in the present and see the Eurovision Song Contest on the front page, which is about to start in Rotterdam.
Due to Bruut Amsterdam’s characteristic way of working with smart and efficient production and recording schedules, the full campaign could be realized in two weeks: From briefing to concept development, production and delivery. All campaign materials were recorded in just one recording day: A TV commercial, a radio commercial, various photos for print advertisements, and banners.
